You won’t find Liam Brady’s name in any of the record books when it comes to Irish football and he mightn’t even make the top five players in many people’s minds. He never won a league title in England nor qualified for a major championship with Ireland, and his haul of 72 international caps has been equalled by Kenny Cunningham and bettered by the likes of Shane Long. However, none was more skilful, unless you consider George Best, and nobody who pulled on a green shirt has had a richer and more varied career.
