It’s the earliest Alaska’s largest city has reached that mark, which has caused collapsed roofs, snow-filled streets and shuttered schools. The previous earliest record for getting to 100 inches was Feb. 3, 2012. That winter remains the snowiest on record at 134.5 inches. Anchorage is already in the record books with this year’s snowfall, at eighth snowiest with a lot of time left this season.
