SANITA PUSPURE GOT Ireland’s Olympics off to a perfect start as she booked her place in the quarter-finals of the women’s single sculls rowing with an assured opening performance.
But there was disappointment for the men’s double sculls pairing of Ronan Byrne and Philip Doyle who missed out on automatic qualification for the semi-finals.
