As more COVID-19 vaccination clinics are announced in our region, the Porcupine Health Unit has a reminder regarding the appointment that you booked. RN Program Manager Kendra Brunet says cancelling your shot is more important than not showing up at all.
“It`s very important that any appointments that cannot be attended be cancelled,” she said. “To make sure that we can open up an opportunity to somebody else who is able to be there.”
Brunet says there are some other important things to keep in mind when booking your needle.

The Kapuskasing area has certainly been taking advantage of the COVID-19 vaccination appointments. In fact, the speediness to fill those spots has gotten a lot of praise from municipal officials and those from the Porcupine Health Unit. RN program manager Kendra Brunet wouldn’t give percentages but says it`s been going really well.
“What I can say is that your clinics have been filling extremely quickly and on multiple occasions we have added an additional clinic to meet the needs and demands of the Kapuskasing community,” she said. “That has been absolutely excellent.”
