Freshman Carolina Gomez Alonso was named the SEC Freshman of the Year, as announced by the league office on Thursday. Gomez Alonso also earned Second Team All-SEC honors and was tabbed for the All-Freshman Team.
The No. 43 Arkansas women’s tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to No. 47 LSU on Thursday night in their opening match of the SEC tournament. The Razorbacks won the doubles point to take the early advantage, but the Tigers battled back to win the final point on court six.
The No. 40 Arkansas women’s tennis team closed out the regular season with a 4-2 win over the Missouri Tigers on Friday afternoon. The Razorbacks have now won their last three matches as they look towards the SEC Tournament at home next week, April 19-23.
