Reporter the fbi says, after a weeklong standoff, it finally made the call monday to raid the homemade, underground bunker, where 65yearold jimmy lee dykes was holding the child hostage. Sources tell abc news, the decision came after agents managed to insert a small, hightech camera into the bunker to monitor dykes movements. Mr. Dykes was holding a gun. Fbi agents, fearing the child was in imminent danger, entered the bunker and rescued the child. Reporter in a matter of minute, just after 3 00 p. M. , agents used an explosive charge to blow open the bunkers entrance. They killed dykes, before taking the boy to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
