An update from BAN stated that a good portion of the Industrial Estate and some industrial sheds have been occupied by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for many years. It stated that the CRPF’s stay at the Industrial Estate was supposed to be temporary but has extended. It felt that the continued occupation of the Industrial estate by the CRPF was a loss for Naga entrepreneurs, who could have availed the industrial sheds at reasonable cost. It added that a good number of employment could also be generated if industrial activity takes place.
