Jordan Wiggins claims final Classic berth
Sunday, December 13, 2020
There were times Saturday when Jordan Wiggins wondered if he had enough magic remaining to write the fairy-tale ending for a special week on the Harris Chain of Lakes.
He had to work for it, but the 29-year old Cullman, Ala., resident proved in the end that dreams really do come true in central Florida.
Wiggins won the Bassmaster Team Championship Classic Fish-Off on Saturday with a 2-day total of 10 bass that weighed 31-09. His limit of 9-00 on day 2 was significantly less than the tournament-best 22-09 he caught a day earlier, but it was enough for him to punch his ticket into the 2021 Bassmaster Classic.

Alabama duo wins Bassmaster Team title
Thursday, December 10, 2020
Wesley Sams and Jordan Wiggins caught the heaviest bag of the Bassmaster Team Championship on Thursday to earn a come-from-behind victory on the Harris Chain of Lakes.
Sams and Wiggins, who hail from Cullman, Ala., and represent the Alabama Bass Trail, bagged a five-bass limit that weighed 22-05 to vault from 7th place on day 1 to the top of the leaderboard on day 2. Coupled with Wednesdays 17-03 limit, the duo finished with 39-08 overall to top the 142-team field.
By virtue of their victory in the team portion of the tournament, Sams and Wiggins advanced to the Classic Fish-Off. They, along with the 2nd- and 3rd-place duos, will have their weights zeroed and begin another two-day competition Friday. This time they will be fishing individually for the final berth in the 2021 Bassmaster Classic scheduled for March 19-21 on Lake Ray Roberts near Fort Worth, Texas.
