The heavy wind and rain came through here as it did throughout the region and there was some driving issues along the way. But the real issue here peaked between 1 00 and 3 00 along the immediate coast, because thats when that astronomical high tide hit and there are always worries about erosion, street flooding and especially flooding along businesses and homes near the marsh. There were still a few hours until high tide and already a small boat was pushed ashore in rye harbor where high seas kept fishermen in port, and boat owners bail out rain filled dingies and checked lines being tested by strong winds and surf.
