Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators have taken to the streets of central London against the backdrop of the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Israel says Palestinians can flee from the north of Gaza along two main routes without being harmed between 10am and 4pm local time today. But Hamas claims an airstrike destroyed a convoy of 70 fleeing Gazans, mainly women and children.
Flares in the colours of the national flag were set off on the march, with chants of "Free, free Palestine" from the crowd, as Scotland Yard warned anyone showing support for Hamas, which is a designated terror organisation in the UK, faces arrest.
As a sea of Palestinian flags waved in the sunshine, thousands of protesters made it to central London to share calls for peace and a ceasefire. But there were pockets of unrest, too.
