The William Woods University women s track and field team placed second out of 18 teams at the Jim Green Invite hosted by Illinois College Saturday afternoon in Jacksonville, Illinois. Katie French again hit the NAIA "A" Standard in the shot put while also hitting the NAIA "B" Standard and breaking the WWU record in the weight throw.
Katie French picked up American Midwest Conference (AMC) women s field athlete of the week honors following her NAIA "A" Standard Saturday afternoon, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Katie French hit the NAIA "A" Standard as she broke the William Woods shot put record at the UCM Mule Relays hosted by the University of Central Missouri Saturday in Warrensburg. The Owls finished with 11 top 10 finishes and 17 top 20 finishes, two marks in the record book and five personal records.
