Online author talk scheduled May 13
ELLSWORTH The Ellsworth Public Library is hosting an online author talk on Thursday, May 13, at 7 p.m. Kate Hotchkiss will discuss her book “On Harbor’s Edge.”
“On Harbor’s Edge” is the first drama in a series of generational layered tales from 1912 to the present, against the backdrop of an island imagery Susan Conley describes as “so rich it is its own character.” Linda Greenlaw recommends Hotchkiss’s debut novel as one her top five reads for 2020. Hotchkiss lives on two Maine islands with her husband, Ellard Taylor. She raised two sons on three subsequent islands in two countries who now work in Boston and study in Athens.
“On Harbor’s Edge” gets off to a riveting start as newlyweds Mildred May and Thaddeus Gale set off from Crescent in a peapod for Popplestone Isle 11 miles
