Devotees visiting Chamundeshwari temple in Mysuru, Kollur Mookambika temple in Udupi, Kukke Subramanya in Dakshina Kannada, or Kotilingeshwara Temple in Kolar may soon be able to book services with the Karnataka government s new Namma Muzrai app. The app will enable them to book services in 25 major temples across the state, and in the future, it will be extended to 34,563 temples. Additionally, the government will use the app for direct-benefit-transfer (DBT) to temples, scholarship amounts for priests childrens education, and compensation upon the priests death. This initiative is part of the Muzrai department s efforts to infuse technology into governance.
