Out of 1,001 analysed candidates in the recent Karnataka polls, 345 (34 per cent) candidates belonging to eight parties, including the BJP, the Congress, the AAP, and the JD-S, have declared criminal cases against themselves, a Karnataka Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) report said.
In the ADR report, 24 out of 32 ministers analysed have declared criminal cases against themselves. Meanwhile, Timmapur Ramappa Balappa from Mudhol (SC) constituency has the lowest assets worth Rs 58.56 lakh
The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee chief, who represents the Kanakapura constituency, has declared assets worth Rs 1,413.80, according to the report by the Karnataka Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR)
