The shakespeare theater hosted a mock trial in june based on a scenario of William Shakespeares play macbeth. Panel a federal Appellate Court judges and Supreme Court justices including Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer heard oral argument in the case of the weird sisters versus kingdom of scotland. At issue is whether or not the sisters were guilty of using witchcraft to assist macbeth in the murder of king duncan of scotland. This event is one hour. It was a wonderful event and im sure many of you attended. I want to start by thanking the people you with the on stage, the people who are not on stage but make this possible. This event comes together in large part because a group of people with whom i am honored to work, who work on coming up with the idea, coming up with which play we are going to do, figure out what the legal questions can be, these are the people who year in and year out make this possible and i realized after last winter i want to thank them in specific. We, all of us, were moved by the energy and warmth of the crowd brought together in grief and solidarity. Ive been very moved when the public outpourings since her death. The hundreds of letters and emails weve all received in solidarity with joes family in their hour of grief. And by the outpouring of charitable donations to causes close to her heart, hope not hate, and the royal voluntary services. Last night my honorable friend the member for south and myself held a vigil outside our townhall. One of hundreds of vigils attended by tens of thousands of people the right across our land who are so shocked i what happened, and what to express that shock and grief. Now now i would like to share just one example where a known or suspected terrace was on the fbis radar that had not beenent placed on the nofly list. Citizen was radicalized and became a devoted follower of isil. The fbi received a critical tip about him in april 2015. The tip included a detailed account of his radicalization in support of isil. This is all available in a 13 page criminal complaint. In maine he flew from new york city to jordan, he was a detained and later arrested by the fbi.
