A city-based social activist has filed a complaint against the park management committee (PMC) for illegally felling trees in Block E of Shaheed Bhagat Singh (SBS) Nagar at Pakhowal Road in Ludhiana. The activist claims that the trees were cut without permission from the Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) and emphasizes the importance of trees in providing oxygen and reducing pollution. The complaint has been submitted to the chief secretary, Punjab.
