Shirdi Saibaba Temple detects online fraud of illegal donations from devotees
The famed Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST), Shirdi has detected an online fraud of soliciting illegal donations from devotees in the name of Saibaba, an official said on Monday. Last weekend, the SSST authorities received complaints that some unknown persons were allegedly posing as the temple representatives and asking for donations via social media, providing bank details and other things, said the trust s CEO Kanhuraj Bagate. We got the information from some messages on WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media groups with demands for donations from the general public for pooja, aarti, Prasad, etc. We have conducted preliminary enquiries and found they were all fraudulent persons, an SSST spokesperson Eknath Gondkar said.Â

Maharashtra Covid lockdown news live updates: State reports 23,179 new Covid-19 cases, 84 deaths
With a steady rise in Covid-19 cases, the Maharashtra government has issued a notification stating that private establishments that do not follow the standard operating procedure (SOP) will be shut down till the pandemic continues to be notified as a disaster by the Centre. The state government reiterated the norms that must be followed by private establishments such as theatres, restaurants, malls, wedding halls and private offices. Multiplexes and restaurants have been allowed to function at 50% capacity and allowing more than the stipulated number will also amount to a violation. The government has also asked these establishments to ensure the presence of enough manpower to enforce the mask rule as well as social distancing. The notification will be in force till March 31.
