Bosnian utility company Elektroprivreda has warned of "increasingly uncertain" power supplies to customers amid strikes by thousands of coal miners over work and pay in the Balkan state of around 3 million.
Thousands of miners halted work at Bosnia-Herzegovina's seven coal mines on November 23 and protested outside the seat of government in the capital to demand better working conditions and higher salaries.
Dozens of people were evacuated from their homes on Friday in the Sarajevo suburbs of Otes and Rajlovac and in the city of Konjic, some 50 kilometers further south.
