"As the average age of HNI and UHNI investors has been dropping, riskier products like equities, private equity funds, unlisted equities, and private credit have gained substantial traction. Also, investors are looking at offshore investments and having global diversification. Weve further observed a notable surge in establishing offshore family offices and family investment funds (FIFs)."
This report includes performance comparison of aggregate alternative investment funds or AIF benchmarks including Category I and II equity funds that invest purely in unlisted securities belonging to vintage years fiscal 2013 to 2022, with corresponding public market equivalent (PME) values using the S&P BSE Sensex TRI.
"I personally feel that the regulator would relook at some of restrictions once these conditions are fulfilled," said the Sebi official in the course of an interaction which was organised by the industry lobby Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA).
