HALIFAX A prosecutor presented evidence of rising violence in Nova Scotia’s jails Tuesday as he called for tough sentences against inmates who took part in a "brazen" and orchestrated assault upon a new arrival.
The lawyer for Brian James (B.J.) Marriott said his client will plead guilty to a charge of aggravated assault in connection with an attack on an inmate at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Centre in December 2019.
