Enugu, Jan. 12, 2021 Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has inaugurated a Panel of Inquiry on the recent crisis in Oruku Community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of the state.
Inaugurating the panel in Enugu on Friday, Ugwuanyi urged the people of the community to embrace peace, which his administration had strived to entrench and nurture in the state.
He said the government and people of the state received the sad news of the incident with rude shock.
Members of the panel include Justice Harold Eya as Chairman and the Chairman, Traditional Rulers Council of the state, Igwe Lawrence Agubuzu.

Hundreds of people from Oruku Community in Nkanu-East Local Government Area of Enugu State on Monday stormed the premises of Government House, Enugu to protest the killing of their traditional ruler, Igwe Emmanuel Mbah.
The protest which was peaceful, came barely two weeks after Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi inaugurated a judicial commission of inquiry headed by Justice Harold Eya to ascertain the remote and immediate cause of the brutal murder of the royal father.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has urged the people of Oruku Community in Nkanu East Local Government Area to stay the course of peace, which his administration strives to entrench and nurture in the state.
Ugwuanyi’s peace call followed the recent crisis that erupted in Oruku, which led to the killing of the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Emmanuel Chidiebere Mba.
Speaking during the inauguration of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry constituted by his administration to investigate and ascertain the remote and immediate causes of the crisis, Ugwuanyi said that the government and people of the state received the sad news of the incident with rude shock.
