Junior Olympics Relaunches and Registration Opens for its 40th Year
LOMBARD, IL, April 16, 2021 – The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago has announced the dates and registration information for its annual Junior Olympics, which will take place in person after last year’s cancellation caused by COVID-19.
The Metropolis Junior Olympics, the proverbial marker of summer for our ministries, will celebrate its 40th year Memorial Day Weekend (May 29-30) at SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Palos Hills, Illinois. After consulting with the Metropolis’ medical advisors and following best practices provided by the Center for Disease Control, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the various States where our participants reside, the Junior Olympics will be safely conducted with appropriate physical distancing and PPE in a condensed format.
