BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): The number of Japanese restaurants in Thailand rose 21.9% in 2022 over the year before, the highest jump since the Japan External Trade Organisation (Jetro) began keeping track in 2007, Jetro said on Wednesday (Dec 14).
The value of imported fresh and processed Japanese food to Thailand is expected to grow by 20% this year, as the Japanese restaurant business in Thailand starts to recover following an easing in the Covid-19 situation.
