Summary
29 people gunned down in Kampala; eight at CPS Kampala, seven in Katwe, six in old Kampala, three in Kawempe, while five were shot in Wandegeya.
In Wakiso, 13 people were killed, five in Nansana, three in Kira Division, two in Entebbe, one in Wakiso, and two in Nsangi.

Summary
At least 54 people lost their lives while others were seriously injured when spontaneous protests broke out in different parts of the country following the arrest of then presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine.

Victims of the November 18 and 19, 2020 protests have not been compensated, five months after the President promised to pay the families of those who lost their lives, Daily Monitor has learnt.

Summary
Last month President Museveni suspended DGF operations in Uganda, sparking uncertainty and panic over the future of about 74 donor funded civil society organisations in the country.

This follows the President’s decision to lift the suspension on DGF activities in Uganda.
The team, which will be headed by Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda, was given two weeks to accomplish the task.
It comprises of Uganda government officials and representatives of countries contributing to the DGF funding basket.
