i don t really think they know what direction they want to be headed in. all the appointments they ve made in the last few years have been disasters. it s an incredibly difficultjob at this point because you ve really got to re energise the whole club, you ve got to get the players back onside, the fans back onside, you ve got to manage the transition away from the older generation through to the younger generation, which is always very difficult. i think the two most plausible contenders right now are luis enrique, the former barcelona and spain manager who was very highly rated by fabio paratici, the former managing director of football, who of course resigned last week and julian naglesmann, who was very heavily linked with the chelsea job. that didn t happen. naglesmann is now, i think, back on the market. i m not entirely sure how much he will want to come to tottenham, but if he can be persuaded to come to spurs, and i think naglesmann would be a very, very attractive candida
