All members of the Royal Family are asked to decide what plans they want for their funeral. No doubt, Prince Philip could have lain in state in London and had a grand funeral in the style befitting the consort to the Queen. He was, after all, an Admiral of the Fleet, a Field Marshal and Marshal of the RAF.
