IPSA president Tourangbam Birjit expressed strong objections against the cabinet decision to set 1961 instead of 1951 as the base year for defining the native people in regard to the implementation of ILPS in the state.
The UCM demanded that in recognition of the sacrifices made by the 18 people who sacrificed their lives for the state’s integrity, the state government should declare June 18 as a state holiday.
