astart to your tuesday morning, april26th,, 2011. good morning. glad you re with us in the 11:00 hour. nice but warm out there. that s all right. yesterday felt like summer but let s check in with tony and find out. good morning to both of you. today will feel like summer again. in the 80s today. but it s not as humid this morning as it was yesterday morning at this time. but it is warm again. let s take a look at the temperatures across the region. we re primarily in the 60s to around 70. 68 right now in baltimore. 64 in d.c. 68 at bulls. fredericksberg is at 69. hagerstown is 67 degrees there. here is a look at the satellite radar. we do have some clouds out there. not a lot. we ll see plenty of sunshine through the day today. there is the frontal boundery out to the west that brought severe weather to arkansas last night. it is still bringing stormy conditions to portions of tennessee and kentucky. that won t impact us until tomorrow. so the forecast for today looks
myfoxdc.com. we know the forecast is fluid and always changing. tony perkins keeping an eye on that. it s the mother nature s one- two punch today. this is round one. and round two will bring more precipitation and snowfall in the latter part of the day. meanwhile let s deal with right now. and it is a mixed bag as expected. now what was unexpected was an intense area of snow that came through early and only left a half inch through the region. coming down around 3:00 this morning. now it s more of the mixed variety, sleet working in. some rain working its way in. so it s messy and slushy, but it will make the clean-up easier for the morning event. you see rain down to the south. right across the washington area, that s a band of mixed precipitation. some snow and sleet and rain. and then off to the north and leesberg and frederick, maryland, it s just snow there. let s look at the view and here you go. event number one moving through now. event number two is off to the s

our scanners are reporting a lot of vehicle accidents, cars going off the road. so certainly, it will be a messy, messy day today. good morning. thank you for joining us. i m gurvir dhindsa. let s head over to tucker because really this snow may have caught some people by surprise but man, visibility is terrible out there this morning. we knew it would rain and snow. the surprise here is that it is sticking so effectively on the roadways. let me show you the radar. i put on the snow machine. the blue you see on the map is where the radar is indicating we are getting a mix. so it is snow and rain but all of that in white and even the darker gray is indicating all snow. big, puffy white snowflakes falling across the area. i would expect a slow commute here this morning. we ve got winter weather advisories and winter storm warnings issued for the entire area. this will be with us throughout our wednesday and wednesday evening. the first piece of energy moves through this morni
