"I photograph these people because I love them," Andrew Kilgore says of the work he has done for much of his life. "When I open my eyes and my heart to someone whose vulnerability has so clearly defined their very being, I experience the deepest level of ineffable connection. And the best word that I have for that profound experience of connection is love."
Bentonville artist Jan Waldon was the first to submit to the second annual "Our Art, Our Region, Our Time" exhibition, on display through Nov. 14 in the Joy Pratt Markham Gallery at the Walton Arts Center.
Humane Society of the Ozarks patrons and their pups gathered July 17 for the Dog Days of Summer benefit at Sassafras Springs Vineyard and Winery in Springdale, where they enjoyed wine and food, with a percentage of the proceeds going to the society.
