VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) Vigo County property tax bills have been mailed, according to treasurer Josie Thompson.
The spring property tax deadline is Monday, May 10. Thompson noted that the due date has not been extended for 2021.
Online payments are now available in Vigo County. Phone payments are still available by calling 877-445-3675. Payment methods accepted online and by phone include credit card, debit card and e-check. A processing fee will be charged.
Starting Monday, payments can be made at any Vigo County branch of the following banks:

Spencer, IA (KICD)– The first book of the Bible will be coming to life on stage at Spencer High School next weekend with drama departments Spring production.
Josie Thompson and Oliver Morris-McEwan are the student publicity heads for “Children of Eden”. They stopped by the KICD studios earlier this week to tells us about the show and how to get tickets.
Director Katie Kardell adds there will be three opportunities to catch the show next weekend.
Spencer High School’s production of “Children of Eden” is being made possible by sponsorships from Del’s Garden Center, Community State Bank, Geyer and Binzer Orthodontics and Kardell Leasing/Performance Car and Truck.

HOTEL GAMING LOUNGE RAIDED
A full truck load of furniture and equipment from a modernistic bar and gambling lounge on the ninth floor of the Aldridge Hotel was stored in the basement of the police station Thursday, April 13, 1939. This followed a gambling raid by police and sheriff deputies.
Only two arrests were made. C.C. Coulston was booked at the police station, as was N.B. Miller, an employee of the lounge. Led by Chief F.A. Budd, officers raided a suite of rooms on the top floor of the hotel about 9:30 p.m. Other officers on the raid were Sam Martin, Bill Miller, and Mark Frazier.
