Forensic genealogy has helped identify a woman whose body was found in a dumpster in Georgia more than 35 years ago, authorities have confirmed. Chong Un Kim, who was 26 at the time of her death, was found “wrapped with plastic and duct tape” in a dumpster in Jenkins County, Georgia, on Feb. 14, 1988, per a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. In a separate statement published on Facebook, the GBI stated, “There is still work to be done to solve the mystery surrounding Kim’s death, and we will work relentlessly to bring justice and closure to her family.”
