Police bust tomahawk-wielding robbery suspect
According to the police report:
Officers were sent to a report of an armed robbery on 22nd StreetTuesday afternoon. The victim’s mother told them she had been on the phone with her son when he was robbed. Officers responded to the area near Carrigan School where they found several people holding the suspect, later identified as Jose Villagomez. Police searched him and found a wad of money wrapped in a rubber band, but did not find any weapons. The victim told police he was hanging out with some friends when he reached into his pocket and about $800 fell out.
