A swimmer who passed away after getting into difficulty in the sea off the Co Down coast has been named locally as Paul Bradley, the owner of the popular Cafe Fish in south Belfast.
Michael Open, the legend who ruled Queen’s Film Theatre for two decades and who imposed a strict ban on popcorn throughout his tenure, would be appalled at what is happening in the modern QFT. There’s a bar, there’s wine and beer, nuts and crisps and a vast popcorn machine which offers salt buttered or sweet.
How could you not love a good curry? I love them. Even a mediocre one can be grand and, by and large, decent ones are not hard to come by in Belfast. We may not be Birmingham or Bradford but Belfast punches pretty well nonetheless with a strong portfolio of excellent curry houses.
