Washington County Schools recently announced that Matthew Combs has been named the district’s 2023-24 Principal of the Year for his work at Jonesborough Elementary School.
Students at Jonesborough Elementary and Jonesborough Middle schools got their first look Monday afternoon at the updated mascot that has been chosen to represent the merged K-8.
Community members are invited to Jonesborough Middle School to witness the unveiling of the new mascot being presented by the school’s Student Advisory Council on Jan. 9 at 2 p.m.
Jonesborough Elementary School showed their gratitude to Jonesborough Mayor Chuck Vest and Administrative Assistant Sarah Norton who visited the school to talk to students about careers recently.
