This is just a reaction to not using an agent, from my personal experience I ll never go directly to the RTO for anything. The driving school I spoke to about hypothecation removal said he could have got my papers in 3 days. I spent 9 months and multiple visits to just get the rc back. There s still some other paperwork left.After the online services were started using the Parivahan website, Kerala RTO offices have changed a lot. Now, it is not required to go through an agent or auto-consultant if one has got minimum computer knowledge to apply online and make the necessary fee payments. Even agents are not allowed to enter inside the offices and they too have to be in the same queue like all.

Vacant posts of Regional Transport Officer and Motor Vehicle Inspectors at the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in the district are overburdening officials and delaying the services provided to the public.
Madurai has three RTOS – North, South and Central. The RTO post is lying vacant in Madurai Central RTO. Currently, the North RTO has taken the additional charge of the Central RTO.
At the North RTO, which should have five Motor Vehicle Inspectors, there is only one official, who has been deputed on a temporary basis. There is only one Motor Vehicle Inspector at the South RTO, which should have four officials in the rank. Similarly, the Central RTO has only one of three Motor Vehicle Inspector posts filled on a temporary basis by an Enforcement Inspector.

JAMMU, Jan 18: Series of activities were held across Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to mark the beginning of National Road Safety Month.
The day witnessed inaugural functions, walkathons and awareness rallies organized by respective district administrations.
JAMMU: The 32nd National Road Safety Month was today inaugurated by Transport Commissioner, J&K Pardeep Kumar, with the flagging off a Walkathon-cum-Awareness Rally, here at Gulshan Ground.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Jammu, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the guest of honour on the occasion.
