The constant bombardment of Free Press COVID-19 reports, freely intermingling federal, Ontario and London-Middlesex numbers, feeds anxiety and confusion. Why?

In an April 16 article, the COVID-19 facts affecting London-Middlesex were eight paragraphs away from the headline, and still tried to highlight numbers that did not accurately reflect the experience in London-Middlesex, where our immediate concerns lie.
Earlier last week we had the impression that there were intensive-care beds available. The report said that London Health Sciences Centre COVID cases hit 65 on April 15 the “highest yet.” The next paragraph said that 29 of those were in the ICU, of which 22 are transfers from other areas.
