High schools: Concord, Bow, Hopkinton swimmers qualify for state meet
Hopkinton junior Cailey Stockwell (center) swims in a meet against Concord and Bow on Friday night at the Concord YMCA. Stockwell, the lone swimmer for the Hawks this season, posted victories in all three of her events – the 200-yard individual medley, 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. High schools: Tide girls rebound with win vs. Memorial

After dropping a pair of games to Bedford last week, the Concord girls’ basketball team rebounded with a 46-39 win on Tuesday night against Manchester Memorial.
The Crimson Tide (3-2) wasted no time getting back on track against Memorial (2-2), jumping out to a 33-13 lead in the first half.
Parts of a retired ferry that served as a go-between Askøy and Bergen in Norway are set to be recycled and take new life as part of a new sustainable Superdock project set out by Nordic Circles.
The ferry known as MF Melderskin was recently scrapped at the industrial area, Hanøytangen, on the Norwegian island of Askøy. Parts of the ship have been distributed to the ironworks in the Norwegian town, Mo i Rana, and the ship’s Wichmann WX28 diesel engine has also been sold. The ferry’s metal will most notably be reused as part of Nordic Circles’ NC 3.0 Superdock.
High schools: Bow wrestling falls to defending champ Plymouth
