A Pembroke man was killed in an accident on Guthrie Highway in Montgomery County Tuesday morning.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated and determined 29-year old Kaleb Waldrop of Pembroke was northbound on a motorcycle when he collided at an angle with a pickup driven by 32-year old Alejandro Contrera of Nashville at the entrance to the landfill.
Waldrop died from his injuries and Contrera was not hurt.

Update, 9:40 a.m.: One person was killed in the wreck, which involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck, according to John Grinder with the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The wreck, reported at 8:30 a.m. at Clear Springs Road, is still under investigation.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A wreck has Guthrie Highway down to one lane northeast of Clarksville.
At about 9:15 a.m., the 4500 block of Guthrie Highway, the area of US Highway 79 near American Snuff and landfill, was at a standstill in both directions.
The road will be closed for an extended time, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route.
