Embarking on its 18th year of continued expansion and growing impact as a leading voice for grieving children and families, Good Grief today announced the appointment of new officers for 2021 and the addition of two new board members to the nonprofit organization s Board of Directors.

The new slate of officers includes:
Mark Durham, Board Chair. Durham is a resident of Morristown, NJ, and a Managing Partner at executive recruiting firm Strawn Arnold & Associates. He joined the Good Grief board in 2017 and served as Vice-Chair from 2019 - 2020.

Guy Langford, Board Vice-Chair. Langford is a resident of Princeton, NJ, and a Partner, M&A Transaction Services with Deloitte. Langford has served on the Good Grief board since 2020.

When director Katrine Philp s sister-in-law became ill, she felt despair and sadness watching her family grapple with the emotional pain. Her sister-in-law was suffering from what Philp describes as âbacteria running berserk in her bodyâ and while she survived, Philp says her recovery was a lengthy, strenuous process.
âI watched how she was struggling with her life, while my brother and their three children were by her side, for a very, very, very long time,â Philp tells MTV News. âIt was very hard for the entire family. I watched my family, and I could see their powerlessness.
