The contract will see roads such as the M27 maintained. A multi-million-pound contract has been awarded to revamp roads across Hampshire. Highways England has awarded a contract worth £190m to help maintain a safe, reliable and resilient road network across Hampshire, Surrey, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and part of Buckinghamshire. The contract, which starts on November 1 and will run for eight years, will see Kier Highways carrying out routine maintenance, repairing defects, responding to emergency incidents and providing severe weather services on roads including the M27, M3, A3, A31, A34 and M4. The area that is set to be maintained covers nearly 770 miles of motorways and trunk roads across central southern England, making it the second largest region managed by Highways England.
Five contractors to build and upgrade London’s roads, bridges and tunnels
Transport for London (TfL) has awarded five contractors places on a new framework to construct and repair its highways network, including bridges and tunnels.
The framework will also cover the construction of walking and cycling schemes including new cycleways.
The winning contractors on TfL’s Surface Transport Infrastructure Construction Framework are:

The framework runs for six years from April 2021 until March 2027. It will be used by TfL, London boroughs and other authorities whose developments impact on the TfL road network.
