Chamber of Commerce Concludes Independent Investigation into Harassment Allegations
A December article in Business Insider alleged sexual harassment by the Chamber CEO in his prior position with the Alexandria-based United Way Worldwide.
The Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday that it has concluded an independent investigation following the publication in late December of a Business Insider article alleging inappropriate behavior by United Way Worldwide excecutives.
Joe Haggerty, the CEO of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber ALX) was one of the people mentioned in the Business Insider article. Haggerty was an executive at the United Way Worldwide more than 5 years ago when the reported sexual harassment occurred. Haggerty has denied the allegations and the article did not report on any allegations connected to Haggertyâs time with The Chamber ALX.

FOX 9 has obtained new reports from the Wright County Sheriff detailing several DWI arrests from 15 years ago, including one that led to a brief psychiatric hold.
One document, however, outlines a strange encounter at a grocery store that sheds more light on the man’s mental state. The incident was at a Buffalo Cub Foods store in November 2018. It was the same day Ulrich was released from jail for violating a harassment restraining order.

President Donald Trump is planning to spend the final days of his office by making last-minute use of his presidential powers as he faces calls to resign in the wake of the Capitol riots. Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask spoke with reporters on Wednesday, including Boston Hockey Now’s Joe Haggerty, for the first time since leaving the bubble to tend to a family emergency. During the discussion, he was asked about the potential of playing elsewhere, as the 33-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent in July.
While there is no extension in place, Rask didn’t mince words about his preference: I have no intentions of playing anywhere else except for with the Bruins. If I’m good enough to play one, two or three more years then so be it and if not then so be it. That’s where my head is at.
