TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In front of 1,777 fans, the seventh-ranked Florida State softball team (27-7, 6-1) used some clutch hitting to fight past Georgia Tech (17-16, 2-8) by a score of 6-4 at JoAnne Graf Field on Friday night. Friday's crowd was the fifth-largest in Seminole Softball Complex history and the largest crowd to witness an ACC game at JoAnne Graf Field. After a scoreless first inning, Jahni Kerr took the first pitch she saw over the right field fence for her seventh home run of the season to give the Noles a 1-0 lead. Just two batters later, Mack Leonard took one opposite field that just got over the left field fence to give the Noles a 2-0 lead after two innings. Neither team threatened in the third inning or the fourth inning, but Georgia Tech had a huge fifth inning where they plated four runs off an error and a three-run home run to take the 4-2 lead. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Michaela Edenfield's six-RBI day helped the No. 7 Florida State softball team (28-7, 7-1) to an 8-0 run-rule victory over Georgia Tech (17-17, 2-9) on Saturday afternoon at JoAnne Graf Field. The Noles clinched its third ACC series of the season and have now won 25 straight games against the Yellow Jackets.
After a scoreless first inning, Jahni Kerr walked, and Katie Dack singled to put runners on first and second for Edenfield with two outs. Edenfield hit one through left side for her first RBI of the day to give the Noles a 1-0 lead.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The sixth-ranked Florida State softball team (23-6,2-0) came out swinging, scoring runs in every inning they were at bat to help beat Syracuse (7-13, 0-5) by a score of 5-1 in seven innings Saturday afternoon at JoAnne Graf Field. With two outs in the second inning, the bases were loaded for the Noles after Hallie Wacaser, Katie Dack and Devyn Flaherty all were walked. Jahni Kerr’s single to right field scored both Wacaser and Dack to give Florida State a 2-0 lead. Bethany Keen opened the second inning with a double to right field, before advancing to third after a Josie Muffley sacrifice bunt. Keen would score on a fielder’s choice to extend the Noles lead to 3-0. The Orange added a run in the top of the third off a single, to cut the Seminoles lead to two runs. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Kathryn Sandercock threw her first career no-hitter, and the offense drew 11 walks to give the sixth-ranked Florida State softball team (22-6, 1-0) a 10-0 run-rule win over Syracuse (7-12, 0-4) in its ACC opener Friday afternoon at JoAnne Graf Field. The Noles improved to 26-2 all-time against the Orange and have now 24 straight games in the series. Sandercock threw the 116th no-hitter in FSU history and the 33rd no-hitter under Head Coach Lonni Alameda. Sandercock needed just 37 pitches in five innings to complete the no-hitter while striking out two batters and surrendering one walk. The Orange did threaten in the first inning as an error allowed the first batter of the game to advance to second. After advancing to third on a groundout, Sandercock ended the threat with back-to-back groundouts. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The sixth-ranked Florida State softball team (21-6, 0-0) will begin ACC play this weekend against the Syracuse Oragne (7-11, 0-3) at JoAnne Graf Field in Tallahassee, Fla. Friday's game has been rescheduled from 6 p.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday's game will begin at 1 p.m. with the series finale beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday. ACC Network Extra will carry Friday's and Saturday's games with ACC Network broadcasting Sunday's game. Going Through the Gauntlet The Seminoles have one of the toughest schedules in the country this season. The Seminoles will play 20 games against teams ranked in the top 25, 19 of those games being away from Tallahassee. 19 out of the Seminoles’ 23 road or neutral site games are against teams in the top 25.
