Welcome to Wednesday, Carson City. One day closer to the weekend, and one day closer to June. Carson City truly shines in the summertime with events like the Taste of Downtown, Blinky Man, and the Fathers’ Day Powwow at the Stewart Indian School. New to hit downtown this year is Battleborn Brews, Bikes, and Bubbly: sure to be a fun time.
Take advantage of the spring sunshine and seize the day. Virginia City roars with the sound of their annual Grand Prix. Beer and brats aren’t usually associated with ballet, but the Sierra Nevada Ballet makes the annual event at the Brewery Arts Center a great time for all.
It’s a good weekend to be a kid: the Kerak Shrine Circus is in town! Well, it’s in Reno, but that isn’t too far of a drive for elephants, clowns, and cotton candy. Also in Reno, but intended for a slightly older audience, is the Lady Luck Tattoo and Art Expo, coincidentally held at Circus Circus.
It is finally Friday. As August melts away, it brings us closer to the new school year. Carson High returning students are invited to the Senator Kick-off this morning to get their fill of back-to-school updates.
Earlier this week, we were all Singing in the Rain, but tonight the talented kids of Youth Theater Carson City open up the entertaining musical on the Carson City Community Center s stage. New eatery, Bella Vita Bistro in the Carson Mall, brings local singer, Dougie L in to entertain the dinner crowd.
