She is a historian her previous was the most famous man in america a biography of Henry Ward Beecher and he was a minister sort of a progress administer. But in her acknowledgments she talked about how interesting it was to move from a minister to a madam who is ran a number of houses of prostitution in new york. So her latest book is the biography of polly adler, icon of the jazz age. It won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for biography, and it was one of the new york society of libraries best books about new york and was also a finalist for the us Angeles Times book prize and.
