HOUSTON On Sunday, National PTSD Awareness Day, Houston-area restaurants teamed up with local nonprofit Camp Hope to help heal combat veterans and save lives.
“The team’s excited,” said John Fernandez, Senior Vice President of Operations at Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen. “It’s all about the veterans that have fought to give us our freedom for us to be able to do this.”
On Sunday, 100% of queso sales at all 18 Gringo’s and Jimmy Changas restaurants will be donated and matched. In 2019, the company raised $52,694 through the effort.
