Wolfe Street Foundation announced it will transition its annual Red Carpet Gala to a virtual fundraising event, in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
In its 22nd year, the 2021 Red Carpet Gala will take place Thursday, April 29 at 7 p.m.
Admission is free, however virtual tickets can be purchased for a $100 donation. A virtual ticket includes a charcuterie board for two courtesy of Heritage Catering and a “swag bag.”
This year’s Red Carpet Gala keynote speaker is Captain Sandy Yawn, a world-renowned captain in the yachting industry and currently the captain on Bravo TV’s reality hit Below Deck Mediterranean.
When Ryan Berg thinks of
The Voice, he thinks of coffee. Most mornings, the Dallas singer-songwriter and his competitors-turned-friends Jim Ranger and Ian Flanigan would grab some cups of joe and hang out at their hotel, taking a brief break from the surreal insanity of being on reality television. There were plenty of other positive memories for Berg, too, including his meeting with songwriter Julia Michaels of “Issues” fame (“to have that facetime was a fangirl moment for me,” he says) and writing songs with his co-artists, but those coffee conversations will always be a highlight.
“To be in a setting where we’re all coming with the same dream but different backgrounds is really special,” he says. “I’ve got some new brothers now because of that show.”

Staying âhumble and kind,â and of course talent, are perhaps what drew Blake Shelton to Bakersfield-based and bred musician and pastor, Jim Ranger from day one on âThe Voice and took him all the way to second place.
âThis entire existence is a gift and not to be squandered. Itâs doing the most you can with every situation you are given,â Ranger said. âSo when this opportunity came up, it wasnât something I was chasing. It just happened. [My wife and I] talked about it and said, âletâs see how far this rabbit hole goes.ââ
