The Friends of the Betsie Valley Trail are excited to finally undergo a resurfacing project that’s been over a year in the making.
The Betsie Valley Trail is a 22 mile stretch of trail located in Benzie County for walking and biking.
The stretch of trail along Crystal Avenue in Beulah has suffered from years of foot traffic and erosion.
The Friends of the Betsie Valley Trail received a $150,000 grant from the DNR in January 2020 to resurface one and a half miles of the trail with a hard packed limestone.
The project was delayed due to a number of factors, including the Covid-19 pandemic, but construction is expected to start in early May.
