The Henry County Board of Supervisors reelected its chair and vice chair at an organizational meeting on Tuesday. Blackberry District Supervisor Jim Adams was chosen to serve again as chair and Collinsville District Supervisor Joe Bryant will continue to serve as vice chair.
The IDA met at noon and the board of supervisors met in closed session later that afternoon before announcing intentions to build on Lot 2 of the Patriot Centre Industrial Park in Martinsville, marking the first time that the county has entered into an agreement with a private developer for the purpose of constructing and marketing an industrial site.
