Live with the latest. Reporter the wayward sea lion is safe and sound. Got the attention of lots of mo motorists. The sea lion tried several times to cross the highway. You know, its not the first time. Curious sea lion pup was safe inside a crate on the side of highway 37 after a very busy morning exploring the sites of Sonoma County. Sky 7 hd was overhead as the sea lion pup went from the waters on San Pablo Bay to dry land, blocking eastbound highway 37. U. S. Fish and wildlife wardens got there first. We kept an eye on him as he swam in the water, each time he tried to come up on the bank and approach the freeway, we distracted him and kept him in the water. Reporter wardens and chp officers assisted by Good Samaritans used boards to to ral the pup into a temporary dog crate until the Marine Mammal center could arrive. Its not uncommon.
