Over 20,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered throughout Santa Barbara County.
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. Vandenberg Air Force Base began its first round of COVID-19 vaccinations on Wednesday.
The shots were administered by the 30th Medical Group and distributed by the Department of Defense as part of their Operation Warp Speed, a national initiative to safely and efficiently vaccinate the American public. .

“It’s a very exciting and historic day that we were able to get the COVID-19 vaccine here,” said Colonel Jessica Spitler, 30th Medical Group commander.
